I'm slow to add this review but stayed here with my wife and we couldn't have had a nicer stay, location excellent just iff the Main St.  Hosts were so friendly and helpful, helping us with our taxi arrangements, restaurant arrangements and what sights to visit.   Breakfast was of the highest quality and the decor was also highest quality.  The garden room was  large and clean and quiet.   We'd love to visit the Coach House again.

We spent two nights. It is a four star guest house with five star service. David and Jenny are fabulous hosts. The whole place is very clean and always neat. It is walking distance from the main street. We will be back to spend more time.

Schönes Zimmer mit toller Aussicht und vielen Annehmlichkeiten

☺Der Balkon ist ein Traum, der Blick wunderschön und auch die Sitzgelegenheiten auf dem Balkon sind bequem. Das Bad ist sehr stylisch, alles funktioniert tipp topp. Und es gibt in dem ganzen Zimmer ausreichend Steckdosen, man muss nicht lange suchen und kann mehrere Geräte gleichzeitig aufladen. Die Lage ist super, in wenigen Schritten ist man an der Hauptstraße.

☹Das Bett ist eher schrecklich, entweder das Bett selbst oder die Matratze wackeln. Wenn sich der Partner im Bett umdreht, hat man das Gefühl, man wird aus dem Bett geschaukelt. Das sollte dringend ausgetauscht werden.

Posto gradevole alla fine del paese, molto vicino alla zona del monumento agli ugonotti, a circa 20 minuti a piedi dal wine tram e 10-15 dalla zona dei ristoranti.
Rientrare la sera a piedi non è il massimo perché la zona è molto buia (seppure riferita dal personale come “safe”).
Nel giardino stavano facendo lavori per l’inizio della stagione estiva, quindi c’era un po’ di trambusto e la piscina era sporca e non utilizzabile.
La camera con accesso dal giardino è grande e arredata in modo carino e abbastanza funzionale. Abbiamo avuto un problema con l’acqua calda che non funzionava il primo giorno, poi è stata riparata…ci è stato fatto un piccolo sconto per questo disagio, ma forse sarebbe stato opportuno controllare prima, perché siamo stati una sera e la mattina successiva senza poterci lavare.

La colazione purtroppo è stata deludente: scarsa, poco varia e fatta con prodotti confezionati, eccetto che per le uova preparate espresse. Del tutto assenti dolci freschi, prodotti da forno, frutta secca, ecc., c’erano solo yogurt, formaggio, pane in cassetta e qualche muffin del supermercato.
Peraltro la colazione si può fare solo dalle 8:30 che è un orario veramente limitante per chi vuole girare o fare escursioni. Appena siamo arrivati (e anche prima di arrivare) abbiamo segnalato che la seconda mattina saremmo andati via presto e abbiamo chiesto la gentilezza di avere la colazione “to go”…ci è stato detto di si, che non ci sarebbero stati problemi; tuttavia ci sono state portate due ciotole di coccio con lo yogurt (quindi impossibili da portare via), due muffin confezionati del supermercato e due tramezzini del banco frigo del supermercato: ben diverso dalla colazione fresca che era prevista dalla tariffa della camera.

Insomma, il posto non è male ma c’è da migliorare perché il rapporto qualità-prezzo è un po’ basso, probabilmente ci sono posti migliori attualmente a Franschhoek per tariffe analoghe.

I have travelled to most places in the world, this was perhaps the best value for money I ever had,

☺Everything was fantastic, cannot fault anything at all, hosts were brilliant, breakfast super nice, room beautiful, backyard and pool lovely, off street parking
